Use the images free for almost anything, including commercial work. Just don't sell or give them away as images in their own right.

You can

Download and use any image free of charge, for personal or commercial purposes.
Edit, crop, recolour, combine and adapt the images.
Use them in things you sell: books, apps, websites, packaging, adverts, videos, crafts and products.
Do all of this without asking permission or giving credit. A credit such as "Image: freedogimages.com" is appreciated.

You can't

Sell, license or give away the images on their own, singly or as a collection, either unchanged or with only minor changes (resizing, cropping, background colour, format conversion, adding a watermark).
Put the images on another image library, stock site, clip-art site, wallpaper site or download site.
Gather the images to build a service or collection that competes with Free Dog Images.
Remove or alter the embedded copyright information or invisible watermark to hide where an image came from.
Suggest that Free Dog Images endorses you, your product or your organisation.

Full licence

1. Who this licence is between

This licence is between Free Dog Images ("we", "us"), the owner of freedogimages.com, and you, the person or organisation downloading or using an image ("you"). "Images" means every picture, cut-out, silhouette, clip-art illustration, colouring page, vector file and cutting file made available on freedogimages.com, in any size or format.

2. What you may do

We grant you a free, worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to copy, use, modify, adapt and publish the Images for any personal or commercial purpose, except as set out in section 3. This includes using the Images in works you sell, such as books, apps, websites, packaging, adverts, video, crafts and physical products.

3. What you may not do

You may not:

Sell, license, sub-license, rent or distribute any Image as a standalone file, whether singly or as part of a collection, pack, bundle or archive.
Do anything in point 1 with an Image that has only minor changes. Minor changes include resizing, cropping, rotating, mirroring, changing the background colour, converting the file format, compressing, or adding a watermark, border or text.
Upload or offer the Images on any other image library, stock image site, wallpaper site, clip-art site or download service.
Collect, compile or redistribute the Images to create a product or service that replicates or competes with Free Dog Images.
Remove, alter or obscure the copyright information embedded in an Image's file, or its invisible watermark, in order to hide or misrepresent where the Image came from.
Use the Images in a way that suggests we endorse you, your products or your organisation.
Use the Images in anything unlawful, defamatory, or intended to deceive people about the welfare, sale or ownership of a real animal.

Using an Image as a minor part of a larger original work, where the work's value does not come mainly from the Image, is not a breach of points 1 to 4.

4. Credit

Credit is not required. If you wish to give it, please use "Image: freedogimages.com".

5. About the Images

The Images are studio-style pictures and illustrations showing the typical appearance of each breed. They do not show any specific, identifiable animal and must not be presented as a photograph of a particular dog, for example in a sale listing.

6. No warranty

The Images are provided "as is", without any warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that an Image is accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for checking that your use meets any laws, platform rules or breed standards that apply to you.

7. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Images. Nothing in this licence limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Ending the licence

If you breach section 3, your licence to use the affected Images ends automatically. Your licence is restored if you put the breach right within 30 days of becoming aware of it.

9. Changes to this licence

We may update this licence. Any change applies only to Images downloaded after the change. Images you have already downloaded remain under the version that applied on the day you downloaded them.

10. Law

This licence is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
